Create venue(s)
After Authorization, if your account has no venues yet, FireMenu opens a four-step creation wizard. It creates the first venue with starter content (sample menu, hall map, baseline settings) so you can explore the UI right away. You then replace or adjust details in General settings, Halls and table map, and other sections.
If venues already exist, the home screen lists My restaurants and shows Create restaurant—that opens the same wizard for an additional venue.

When the wizard appears
- First sign-in with zero venues—the wizard shows immediately.
- You already have venues—open Create restaurant on the home list.
The header still offers language and the profile menu (for example to sign out).
Above the steps you see an intro line like Let’s create an account for your restaurant in just 4 simple steps (wording follows UI language).
Step 1: name
- Step title similar to What is the name of your restaurant?
- Field Restaurant name—required; Continue stays disabled until the name is not empty.
- If you already had venues, Back returns to My restaurants without saving a new venue.
Step 2: how guests place orders
Question How do your guests place orders?—pick one option:
- Waiters take orders at the table—dining-room focus (richer table map for later work).
- Guests order at the bar/counter—lighter start without emphasising the table map.
- Both options—combined scenario.
Continue (enabled after a choice) and Back to the previous step.
Step 3: kitchen display
Question Do you want to use a kitchen display? with a More about the kitchen display link (opens the FireMenu marketing site in a new tab).
Answers: Yes, No, I don’t know. They set initial kitchen parameters (including whether Kitchen screen is easy to turn on right away); you can change everything later under Kitchen places and statuses.
Step 4: inventory management
Question Do you want to use inventory management? with More about inventory management.
Again Yes, No, I don’t know—this chooses whether demo data includes stores and recipes with samples, or a lighter menu-only start. You can expand later in Stores, Products, and related areas.
The final button is Done! (shown with an exclamation mark in the UI). While saving, controls may be disabled. Back returns to step 3.
After you tap Done!
- A venue is created and your profile is added as owner with full rights for that venue.
- Starter data appears (sample sections, dishes, a hall with tables, baseline wallets, etc.)—this is a learning scaffold, not your real menu; replace or edit it for production.
- A time-limited trial with broader capabilities is applied (in the current app build this is about two weeks at Pro-class capability—if subscription terms change, follow the latest FireMenu offer).
- You are redirected into that venue’s admin (the browser address switches to the venue identifier).
Next, review Main menu and General settings for real branding, hours, and legal details.
Common situations
- Continue stays disabled. Ensure the name is filled or a radio option is selected on the current step.
- Need to change a previous answer. Use Back inside the wizard.
- I want another venue. From My restaurants, tap Create restaurant—the same four-step flow runs again.
- Long spinner after Done! May be a network issue; wait, refresh, and check the list so you do not create duplicates by accident.
